Proteans: “There is always someone for you… in the future”
Proteans: “There is always someone for you… in the future” is a single-channel video installation that plays a continuous loop of ten time travelers from the future, each seeking to date people from our present or their past. In each video, a “Protean” introduces themselves, sharing their story.
The imagery and text for each Protean are generated through the app Proteus developed by the artist. The text is crafted by a large language model (LLM), while the images are created using DALL-E. These static images are then brought to life through Deepfake technology with their corresponding text.

    It's an interesting case, certainly. From my point of view, according to the way the situation was described in the video, I don't think that any sort of racism was the main driving cause behind the doctor's actions in taking the cells. I think that he was after the money and recognition, and he knew that if he tied the real family's name to the cells, they would likely come to take some of that money and recognition away from him. And rightly so. Now I don't discount the idea that racism could be present here, considering the time frame of the incident and all. But I think that ambition and monetary greed are the more likely culprits at the heart of the incident. And I don't think these are problems which will ever go away.

    I can’t believe i had the chance to get my Neuroscience Ph.D more than a decade ago in HIS last lab in Paris, the might LENA. My former team published his last paper on consciousness and his « brain web » after his death in 2002…. Im still reading it today, and still trying to figure it out… the enaction is an idea way ahead of his time. During my 2nd year of master, i had to write a whole bibliographical paper on this question (asked by Dr. Patrick Cavanagh, another great mind I had the chance to know in real as a teacher and a little bit as a colleague): does the Alien Hand Syndrome confirm the Sensory-motor theory of consciousness? This is the Kevin O’reagan’s theory (also a super star i almost did my Ph.D with but he told me honestly that he wouldn’t have enough time that i would from him as he was writing a book), based on Varela’s (and let’s not forget Maturana) Enaction on Consciousness… i got the 2nd best grade (with my ex gf) but…im not sure i fully understood what I wrote… i have to look for this paper, which is only…on paper. Varela… genius

    Are there any good men out in Switzerland that can do some Vigalante work for humanity? It would really be helpful before they either use it to bring in some kind of reptilian demons, as stated on their website, or use it for an excuse to release something that's already here..to the guy on this video-repent, you are committing crimes against humanity. You are not thinking at all. U may have high intelligence when it comes to your science there but very low emotional IQ. No idea the consequences of what you are doing to your soul and this planet.

    such a brain as Wolfram’s... . now imagine if the seed of the idea of mind as the basis of reality were to germinate within him! . and I wonder... anyone who is personally exploring that mind creates reality, whether love, in your explorations, feels to be the essential (dare I say quintessential) aspect

    Ella habla de un punto de su carrera en el que se sintió desorientada y un poco atrapada en los principios que venía enseñando. Sintió que necesitaba abrir el campo, proponer cosas nuevas a partir de su variado repertorio de conocimientos en cuanto al movimiento. En ese punto empezó a dejar que las clases sucedan de una forma un poco más espontánea, tomando elementos del movimiento en formas diversas. A partir de las preguntas de quienes asistían a las clases empezó a notar que habían recurrencias en su trabajo, regularidades, formas típicas. Y así descubrió que había una especie de mapa interior en su trabajo. Nos muestra un diagrama de su trabajo: + ( ) Arribar energéticamente + (.) Arribar físicamente + pow pow + preambulación + skinesphere (esfera de piel o pielesfera) + vinculación con la tierra + movilizar agitar la maza

    • @Juan-ul9st
      @Juan-ul9st 9 місяців тому

      skinesphere o esfera de piel es el espacio que podés alcanzar con tus extremidades, pero ella dice que en el contact improvisación no se trata del cuerpo moviendose en el espacio sino también del espacio o las cosas moviéndose a través del cuerpo. Ella siente cambios de estados dentro del cuerpo que tienen que ver con cambios de presión temperatura, etc. Nos muestra un segundo diagrama: pielesfera (global) pielesfera alta pielesfera baja pielsefera expansiva o viajera superposición de pielesferas El diagrama que muestra es una especie de partitura que sirve para ir orientando la clase, pero es un esquema abierto sobre el cual se improvisa poniendo en juego todas las herramientas corporales de las que se tenga conocimiento.

    • @Juan-ul9st
      @Juan-ul9st 9 місяців тому

      A partir del trabajo con la skinesphere o pielesfera se empieza motivar el desplazamiento de los cuerpos en el espacio y la interacción de los mismos entre sí. También se empieza a preparar la disponibilidad de los cuerpos para ser tocados. El hecho de recorrer el espacio en la expoloración individual de la pielesfera posibilita acercamientos. Circulación, empiezan a darse pequeños toques inesperados, roces, esquivadas, etc. Esto empieza a producir un terreno de observaciones que nos surgen interiormente en la interacción y que nos invitan o no a acercarnos, comenzamos a notar lo que nos ocurre y vamos siendo orientados a partir de ir a favor o en contra de nuestras ganas para explorar posibilidades de movilidad dentro de la improvisación. Ella dice que por causa de esa exploración pueden surgir distintos tipos de conexiones, y hay un tercer diagrama para mostrar esas conexiones a las que llama grazings o contactos cortos para ir entrando en calor: : toque atracción repulsión coincidencia intersección confluencia diferencia contraste

    Interesting how we knew jerk admire people like this. He’s very smart. He’s dangerous too. Bet you don’t know that. Why? He’s arrogant. He had undisclosed political agendas and feelings. This all sounds so good but it’s new and discards already established wonders of our religions already constructed. Yes, our religions created people like Francisco Varela as it should, but it’s the hidden political agendas we need to worry about. Like how has dark materialism Marxists infiltrated new age and science and created subversive social movements and beliefs.

    What goes with mind? Brain-And, what do you mean embodied? This classic book, first published in 1991 was one of the first to propose the embodied cognition, approach in cognitive science. As if, a mind reading science, the brain is our main component you dilly your fingers and toes because your brain is commanding you too, but what can you cure, not logic. How bout neon's & repeating yourself? Thank you...Lisa

    After watching it many times, my favourite thing about this interview is around 10:30 when he talks about human colour vision and says it is “completely identical across all human beings cross-culturally”, and concedes that the better comparison of this “multiversality” concept in the domain of vision is between humans and other species (his example being birds). Yet, we get these interesting phenomena, like the case of “The dress” in 2015, that show us there can be surprising differences in human colour perception. So, his theory about “multiversality” holds even stronger than he thought in this video.

    First time saw this man. Think he was astonishing. Yet so simple. What strokes me is that how the purest and greatest people and professionals mostly comes from the simplest , even poorest environment. But this simple ground of a family, caring and responsibility brings brilliant fruits. Simple wordly ground. This to me is Blessing of Life.
